Particleboard is a composite panel product consisting of cellulose particles of various sizes that are bonded together with a synthetic resin or binder under heat and pressure. Particle geometry, resin levels, board density, and manufacturing processes may be modified to produce products suitable for specific end uses. At the time of manufacture, additives can be incorporated to provide greater dimensional stability, better fire and moisture resistance, or to impart additional characteristics.
Particleboard is widely used in the manufacture of furniture, cabinets, floor underlayment, shelving and many other products. Fire Rated Particleboard: Excellent product for when constructing wall systems, fixtures, cabinets, or furniture for industrial or commercial applications where a Class 1 fire rating is desired. It is a great substrate for wood veneers, high and low pressure laminates, as well as vinyl overlays. It may be cut, machined and drilled without significant effect on its flame spread rating.
Moisture Resistant Particleboard: Excellent product for when constructing cabinets and fixtures with a risk of exposure to liquids and high humidity. It can be machined, drilled, and laminated just like regular particleboard.
No Added Urea Formaldehyde Particleboard: " GREEN SENSITIVE " Low formaldehyde emissions, High Manufacturing Performance. Offers strength for fastener holding, precise machining characteristics and an exceptionally smooth surface for laminating.
